Our lady hawks volleyball team entered the CAL tournament with an impressive season record of 11-2. On Friday afternoon, CLS faced Schaeffer Academy in quarter-finals and took the match in two games. Within two hours they faced #3 seed Mountain Lake in a semi-final match. Christian Life girls fought hard...fans excitedly watched the score board. Christian Life won the first game 25-21 but lost the second game 28-26. The third game was neck and neck but the Bears came out ahead 15-13. On Saturday, the Hawks faced the #4 Cambridge Christian Warriors for the third place game. The Hawks came out determined and resolute as they beat the Warriors in three games to give them the third place trophy. Senior, Kaitlyn Zweber, and Sophomore, Crystal Goutierez, both received all-tournament medals for the tournament. Coach Denise Larson was pleased with the team's playing and composure stating, "Our team played every point with heart and to their fullest ability. They left everything on the floor and we couldn't be prouder of them for the tournament and the season."
