September 2, 2010 Daily Announcements
*  Our Saint of the day is St. Comus of Crete. He was a Hermit on the Island of Crete. He died in 706.
*  Congratulations to all of the students who were mandated as EMHC and Lectors last night.  You looked spectacular and represented Holy Family very well.  Thank you.
*  Good luck to the Lady Bulldogs this evening against Newman Grove at 5:30.  There will be a jv and varsity game. 
*  The Cross Country team will be dismissed at 2:45 for their meet today in Beemer - Good Luck. 
 *  All 9-12 football, volleyball, and cross country athletes need to bring the following for the locker rooms:  Seniors - 1 bottle of shampoo; Juniors - Freshmen - each bring 3 bars of soap.  Please bring to Mr. Schumacher's room by tomorrow.
*  There will be an all school mass tomorrow at 2:45. 
*  Applications for the Action Team are available from Father Wayne. Students in Grades 10-12 are eligible.
*  Yearbooks are in and can be purchased from Mr. Mason.  They are $40.00 and you must pay before you can take your yearbook home.

*  Our Saint of the day is Blessed Juliana of Collalto. She began a Benedictine nun at the age of 10. Later in life she became the Abbess of her Motherhouse. She died in 1262.
*  Mandation is this evening for EMHC and Lectors at 7:30 at St. Mary's Church.

*  Our Saint of the day is Blessed Richard Leigh. He was ordained in Rome in 1586. He returned to England to be a home missioner. He was arrested for his faith and martyred in 1588.

*  Happy Birthday Heather C!  Happy Birthday to Mrs. Gaspers tomorrow. 
*  Our Saint of the day is St. David Lewis. He converted to Catholicism at the age of 16. He was ordained a priest in 1642 and joined the Jesuits in 1645.
*  Please remember that the road in front of school is not a raceway, and that there are many students crossing the street.  You MUST drive slow.
*  There is 7-12 prayer service at 3:15 in the gym.  Please report to access and then you will go to the gym.   
*  A reminder that the EMHC and Lector training is Sunday at St. Mary's Church in Norfolk from 1:30-4:30.  Please dress appropriately.  Mandation is next Wednesday evening.

*  There is a funeral tomorrow, please do not park on the church street.

*  Yearbook students will be gone tomorrow selling ads with Mr. Mason and Mrs. Lindgren.

*  Our Saint of the day is St. Philip Benizi. He was a brilliant student. He received his doctorates in medicine and philosophy by the age of 19. He joined the Servite Order and was ordained a priest in 1258.
